Restylane Lyft is a dermal filler popularly used for cheek augmentation and correcting the mid-face contour where age-related deficiencies start to appear from the age of 21. Restylane Lyft is used administered using a small blunt tip cannula.
Galderma, the manufacturing brand behind Restylane have announced that Restylane lyft is the only FDA approved filler that is designed for the mid-face treatment via a cannula.
Lyft and Lyft Lidocaine are also commonly used to treat nasolabial folds and the back of the hands to make them appear more youthful. It is also indicated for deep dermal implantation to make the shape of the face and its contours more harmonious and aesthetically pleasing. Cheeks, chin and jawline can equally be contoured
So far, Galderma have received seven FDA approvals in total including this latest approval for Lyft and all received in just a short span of four years. An FDA approval is almost like an award of approval which wins the vote of aestheticians and patients worldwide.
Galderma have recently announced they have increased their R&D investment in 2018 to grow their current line of products. Their objective for 2019 onwards will be to research new solutions for aesthetic patients to meet their dermal demands. Building trust in patients to get them into clinics is still a hurdle and many patients are reluctant to have treatments done due to many factors, including cost, fear of results and trusting clinicians.
